The Taq polymerase enzymes is obtained from
A. Bacillus subtilis
B. Thermus aquaticus
C. Pscudomonas putida
D. Thiobacillus ferroxidans

B. Thermus aquaticus

Two commonly used enzymes are Taq polymerase (isolated from thermophilic bacterium, Thermus aquaticus) and Vent polymerase (isolated from Thermococcus litoralis).
A thermostable DNA polymerase (Taq polymerase) is used in the reaction which can tolerate the high temperature of the reaction.
