Regulation of Kidney Function

ADH (Vasopressin): Prevents diuresis by facilitating water reabsorption from distal tubules; RAAS (Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone System): Low BP triggers release of Renin → Angiotensin II → Aldosterone (increases Na+ and water reabsorption, raises BP); ANF (Atrial Natriuretic Factor): Released by heart atria when BP is high; causes vasodilation to decrease BP (checks RAAS).
