Locomotion and Movement

Fibrous (Immovable): Sutures in the flat skull bones; Cartilaginous (Slightly movable): Joints between adjacent vertebrae; Synovial (Freely movable): Fluid-filled cavity; Examples: Ball and socket (shoulder), Hinge (knee/elbow), Pivot (atlas/axis), Gliding (carpals), Saddle (thumb).
